Moonrise Through Australia Rock

from $359.99

160× 67.5cm is a Limited Edition of 100 ( only 50 available on this website)

I was on the verge of calling it a day. The colours hadn’t shown, the sky felt stubbornly flat, and the light was slipping away. I had already reached for my gear to pack when, in just a few seconds, everything changed. The moon rose into perfect alignment—its soft, glowing disc framed precisely through the natural window of Australia Rock. And just like that, the scene transformed.

This image is the result of patience meeting possibility. A stitched panorama of twelve frames, captured to preserve the fine textures of the rock and sky. To maintain clarity and avoid motion blur, the moon has been composited separately, ensuring its surface remains sharp and detailed—an anchored focal point amidst a scene of soft gradients and glowing dusk.

The sky melts from deep twilight blues into shades of lavender and rose, while the sandstone formation catches the last golden light of the evening. The composition balances structure and serenity, wildness and precision.

What began as uncertainty became one of the most rewarding captures of the day. Moonrise Through Australia Rock is a quiet tribute to timing, technique, and the magic that often appears the moment you're ready to give up.

Printed on museum-grade archival paper, it is available in a limited edition of 100 in each size except 120×67.5cm. Only 50 are available via this website in this size. Each piece is signed, numbered, and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
